9.6.12 Resume/Interview Panel & Workshop @ Golden Gate University

On September 6, 2012 NAPIPA, along with co-hosts the Bay Area Black Prosecutors Association (BABPA), had a resume and interview panel and workshop at Golden Gate University in San Francisco.  The purpose of the event was to help law students and attorneys who are interested in becoming prosecutors learn about various prosecutors' offices and what those offices are looking for when they hire.

Fourteen deputy and supervising district attorneys from Sacramento, Solano, Marin, Contra Costa, Alameda, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara Counties spent almost three hours mentoring approximately 50 law students and attorneys.

The first part of the evening was a panel discussion where D.A.s from each county talked about their offices and hiring practices.  The second part of the evening, which was for members only, was spent in small groups with the D.A.s critiquing the law students and lawyers resumes, and talking about interviewing techniques.

The evening was a huge success as we gained many new members and made even more new friends!
